Toco Bobs is a great place to grab some quick Mexican style fare. My main purpose of the review today is to give kudos on their customer service. We beat the lunch rush today and were greeted by Sherrie (unsure of spelling). She smiled from the beginning of our interaction and actually said she was glad to see us. That kind of treatment is rare these days. Taco Bob! Please recognize her for the job well done. She is an excellent ambassador to your customers!

Sorry but average! We ordered two of the combo options to try almost everything. The burrito wins among all the options. The tacos which I was cery excited to try were not even juicy, it felt very dry and I did not want to crave for more. The chicken quesadillas were less than average; I am not sure if this is how it is all the time or because we were the last customers on a friday night. I was kind of disappointed. I might try the other branch in Portage to see the difference :)

I've lived in Kalamazoo for 7 years and had never eaten at Taco Bob's until now. I wasn't really missing anything. I ordered Bob's burrito and I enjoyed it, but definitely wasn't blown away. I feel like I can get a fresher meal at Qdoba.

I'm from out of town. Florida to be exact. Decided to try Taco Bob's with my mom and cousin, who are from here. It was delicious! Down in Florida, we have Mexican restaurants on every corner, so it's hard to compete with ours. 4 stars, because the quesadilla was good, BUT it wasn't cooked as much as quesadillas are normally cooked. Cheese dip was very good. Very quick, friendly service. I'd go again!

OK, so here's the deal. The familiarity of the food at Taco Bob's is what draws most locals. If you're looking for authentic tacos or contemporary Mexican food, forget it. This is what we used to refer to as "neighborhood" when discussing restaurants while living near NYC; decent food, nice people, and the downtown locale has a bar both upstairs and downstairs as well as t.v.'s that are usually tuned to ESPN etc. After having been away for over 8 years, the first time I walked back in, the owner, (Bob), took one look at me and immediately remembered what I used to eat while a student nearly a decade earlier.
